Children’s day was celebrated on 14th November 2007 with Paediatric Cancer patients and those who were treated and are now leading a new,confident life. The programme had more than seventy children of all age groups (from 1 year to 14 years) who actively participated in cultural programmes, several games and competitions and distributed prizes to the winners. Ms. Parvathi Melton, Popular Cine Actress was invited for the program as a Chief Guest.
Walt Disney Programme for Cancer children was held on 27th January 2006. A joint programme was organized with the help of Walt Disney, USA to entertain Children suffering from Cancer. Several Children from various Cancer Hospitals in twin cities participated in the programme. The aim of the programme was to encourage the children suffering from cancer to lead a fun-filled life regardless of the anomalies experienced in day to day life.
